[Wholesome Discussion] What's your idea of Heaven?

I'm a short story writer. Pero I keep them to myself. Isinali ko ung isang kwento ko nung college and nanalo ako ng second prize (though walang nanalo ng 1st prize) so ayun ako ung pinaka mataas na nanalo.

Now, may isang material akong binubuo and gusto ko malaman kung ano ung idea ng bawat isang interesado sumagot sa kung anung idea nila ng 'Heaven'.

Sa mga ka Milenyal nating Atheist, alam kong walang ganitong belief sa inyong hanay pero pwede kayo magparticipate kung anu ung idea nyo kung ano ung idea ng iba re Heaven.

Heaven and hell are states of consciousness. Kapag punong puno ka ng pagmamahal heaven yon. Kapag punong puno ka ng galit hell yon.

If you think super bland ng meaning of heaven sa akin, siguro tama ka hahahahaha.
But the feeling or idea of heaven for me is like having a deep blank sleep (no dreams) for eternity, yung super comfy ka sa higaan and may malamig na atmosphere na tanging unan at kumot mo yung nag po-provide ng init sa super relaxed mong katawan

Or maybe there's no heaven but resurrection instead. Magigising ka na lang na you're a cat or dog or an insect and you can express yourself by what you see in your pet's behavior. I know kahit hayop sila, they still have unique attitudes

I'm not an atheist. I still believe that there is a greater power out there. What I dont believe in is religion, man made religion.

I was born into a religious family. Pero I hate the thought na only those in our religion would be saved. What about those who were born into another religion? Andaming beliefs out there. Who is to say na sila lang ang "worthy". That's when I started doubting my religion. Lalo na when I realized na all religion is man-made.

I chose to believe in something else. I like to believe parin na there is something/someone greater than all of us. I mean, this world, this universe, it has to have come from something. PEro I don't think na we are meant to live life figuring that out. Kaya I chose to believe in something else.

I chose to believe in humanity. Not what religion says. But what humanity does. Kasi for me, its all about how we live our life. Iba kasi yung super religious pero walang humanity. Nagsisimba, pero paglabas, Karen na Karen naman. Basta. Mahirap pahabain. Baka maging rant. Haha. Pero thats me. Let me just share how I feel. Pero I am not forcing you to listen or even consider my thoughts. Just letting it out.

Sooo, for me, my idea of heaven, or after life, doesn't matter. We aren't sure. Why focus on something we can never be sure of. Why not take control of what we can influence. I believe in living a life according to your own heaven. Make life on earth(or Mars if we get lucky) worth living, not just for ourselves, but for others too.

Yun lang yung akin.

P.S. If madaming holes sa logic ko, let it be. Haha. Typed this without much thinking. Kumbaga, binuhos ko lang how I felt. Typed as I went. Posting this without checking again. Post doesn't make sense? Well, sorry about that.

Random thought lang na baka depende yun kada tao, yung heaven ng kada tao depende sa perception nila kung ano ang heaven. Pero generally di rin ako naniniwala sa Christian description ng heaven kasi masyado biased rin. Ewan ko tbh mahirap rin maimagine kung ano talaga.

I personally admire the Buddhist idea of "heaven". As a catholic, I am fed with the idea of "pearl gates", "angels", "eternal happiness". But Buddhist teachings present the concept of "Nirvana". Hindi siya lugar kundi ay isang mental state. Kumbaga sa tagalog, paraan ng pagiisip. Kung saan kahit buhay ka pa, kahit nasa mundo ka pa, pwede mong maranasan maging nasa "langit".

Mejo simple lang po ang naiisip ko. Para sa akin, ito Po ay isang lugar mundo na walang paghihirap ang mga tao. Walang nananakit, walang manloloko at mandaraya. Lahat Po mapayapa na namumuhay. Masaya.

Kahit anong relihiyon man, o kahit walang relihiyon, ang paningin ko sa heaven ay parang paraiso. Hindi lahat ng mga tao doon ay malinis nung buhay pa. Pero sila ay gumawa ng kabutihan na hindi nila mapapakinabangan ng kanila lang.

Siguro andito din ang mga kaluluwa ng mga taong tumulong sa atin nung buhay pa sila.

Baka mababaw Po pagkakaintindi ko. Simple lang pero sana makahulugan sa iba.

Heaven and hell is an idea. It is made so that people would be fearful, abide and follow moral rules. If you think carefully, the ten commandments consists of basic and ethical laws that people should follow. For example the commandment thou shall not kill, it is morally a basic law that is made so that there wont be unnecessary killing whenever there are arguments. Well im a carholic this is just a thought lol.

Transcendence ang idea ko ng heaven. Hindi ako naniniwala sa paradise version ng Dante Inferno at ng New Testament.

I am an atheist pero in my honest opinion, it would be great kung meron talagang heaven. It's nice to think about it but if there really is an afterlife won't we grew tired of living an eternal life? Just some of my thoughts
